MArchD Applied Design in Architecture : Sustainability
The master's programme is a student-led, focusing on forms, technology and spaces for a sustainable future.
My first year specialization was in Sustainable Architecture: Evaluation and Design (SAED). The project was situated in Granada, Spain near the Railway Station. My proposal was developing workshop center for the existing residential and institutional students and also attracting future tourists arriving in Granada. The design was focused on passive strategies of sustainability.
In my second year I opted for Applied Research-Led Design Studio(DSR). This proposal was an extension of going in detail with strategies of sustainability and implementing in my project. Project was based in Oxford to design and Indian restaurant which is self sufficient by reducing the carbon footprint.
